Flow cytometry platform in the Department of Immunology is one of the common platforms shared by all research labs in the Basic Medical College of Fudan University. The platform was established in 2010 and since then provides cell analysis and sorting services to researchers on campus as well as from other research institutes. The available flow cytometers includeCyAnADP (analyzer) and MoFlo XDP (cell sorter):


CyAn ADP 9 color(analyzer) by Beckman Coulter uses multiple laser excitation sources (488nm, 642nm and 405nm) to analyze biological cells, beads or other microscopic particles which accommodate a diverse range of applications including detection of cell surface staining,intracellular staining, cell cycle analysis, apoptosis and proliferation of cells, with up to 11 standard parameters and 9 colors (FITC, PE, PI, PE-CY5, PE-CY7, Pacific Blue, Pacific Orange, APC, APC-CY7).


MoFlo XDP (cell sorter) by Beckman Coulter delivers great sorting capability with high viability, yield and purity at 100,000 analysis rate events/second, particularly suitable for sorting small subsets of cell populations (with max purity > 99%) for further culture, transfer or DNA/RNA/protein extraction. MoFlo XDP uses three lasers excitation sources: 488nm, 355nm and 633nm, which allows detection up to 9 colors and can provide 4-way sort for multiple populationsas well as single cell sorting.
