Research Scholar positions
Research Scholar positions are available for highly motivated and creative individuals at Baylor College of Medicine in Texas Medical Center located at Houston. The individuals will carry out research focused on epigenomic regulation of metabolism and cognitive functions by physical exercise, diet, and the circadian clock. Approaches include genetic animal models, recombinant viral vectors, molecular biology, metabolomics, physiology, and animal behavior tests. The selected candidates will have opportunities to select and develop specific projects, acquire new skills, participate in grant writing, and participate in seminars including presenting at national conferences. Qualifications:
• Expertise in epigenetics, metabolism, muscle physiology, neuroscience, next-generation sequencing, or bioinformatics.
• Ability to work collaboratively with individuals from different backgrounds.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
