主要从事肿瘤生物学研究,在炎症诱发肿瘤和DNA损伤诱发肿瘤的机制方面做出了原创性发现。以通讯作者(含共同)发表论文包括Nature Immunology、PNAS、Autophagy、Cell Reports、Journal of Experimental Medicine、EMBO Reports、EMBO Molecular Medicine、Clinical Cancer Research等,主要发现和结论被国际权威杂志多次重点介绍和评述。获国家杰出青年科学基金、中国青年科技奖,入选国家“万人计划”科技创新领军人才、国家百千万人才工程和国家创新人才推进计划中青年科技创新领军人才,享受政府特殊津贴。作为负责人,主持国家重点研发计划、国家重大科学仪器专项、国家973课题、国家自然科学基金项目等科研任务。先后获国家自然科学二等奖、北京市科学技术一等奖和国家科技进步创新团队奖等。
